Recently we were invited to the prestigious Thompson Hotel for the launch of the upcoming Guess collection for Spring 2015, and from the moment we arrived you could see the country influence in the gingham filled decor. Are you ready for a country picnic on the beach?

However, the brand certainly took on a new life for the upcoming line, with delicious coral piping on jackets and flavourful prints in pants skirts and dresses… was enough to get this celeb stylist excited about how and who of my list will be wearing these soon! Here are a few of my favs:

The one thing that always tickles my fancy is the movement in garments, and the 70’s inspired fringe vest really got the country bumpkin in me excited!!! The floral print and the crisp white background made this a piece that can easily inject into any collection, whether you’re going two stepping at a local pub, or singing your lungs out at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville… this will be a staple!

Now no fashion story would be complete without a look at some accessories, and I’ll leave the opinions to your savvy eye to decide what you think…. so post your comments!!!

Overall it was a cute collection that has taken a step away from its roots of motorcycle and leather, to a softer consumer friendly approach. And I will be using some of this on my clients in the upcoming season ahead.

For many years now I have been delivering courageous style to each of my clients and when it comes to the holidays, this is when I get the question “What do I get her?” and to that massive question I say…. No more gift cards!

If it’s one thing I have learned about women and gifts, the more thought you put in it, and paying close attention to the “OMG I love that (fill in the blank) and take mental notes, or with the technical age we live in, bust open the memo pad on your smartphone and jot down the name of the store and a brief description of the item, so when you call the store later to place the item on hold it will be a lot easier to say to the clerk “The red purse on the second shelf located in the middle section of your store” then get your ass in the store, cause most places have a 24 hour hold policy and some shops will only hold things for a few hours during the holidays.

For those of you that haven’t made your list, I am going to lend a personal stylist perspective and guide you through making the correct choice for your lady…. Don’t worry guys, some women are in the same boat as you, but that will be addressed in my next post.

This year has proven to be a very big year for people to be wearing a watch, and since the explosion of the iconic brand Michael Kors, watchdrobes have begun to expand in ways I never thought possible. The release of his signature rosegold sent women in a frenzy to get their hands on this beautiful tone, that spread into foot wear, eye wear and beyond.
